i've been whining about wanting to go to the beach for about a month now, so james humored me by suggesting we go to the great salt lake. it wasn't much compared to california, but there was sand and water and some rocks to sit on and a huge rock for james to climb. there was even a big dog name lucy that made friends with marty! if you knew marty, you'd know that is major progress cause he's pretty much terrified of all other dogs, especially big ones. we were so proud. we forgot to bring a camera, of course, but luckily had our trusty cell phones to capture a few moments.
